Dermaplaning, uses a scalpel or a tool called a dermatome. The dermatome, which looks like an electric razor, is moved back and forth to scrape off the top layer of dead skin cells.
The exfoliation and hair removal leaves your skin bright and smooth. The treatment softens fine lines and wrinkles and eases hyperpigmentation, as well as uneven skin tone. Dermaplaning can also used to treat deep acne scars. The results do depend on your skin type, tone, and medical history.
